Awesome picture of Lyndon & Alyssa!

Spring Break...almost gone:(

It's Friday already? Dang where did spring break go? I was accompanied to work today by Jonate, or as we affectionately call her "Double", or "Deuce". Anyway as I was saying, I have been driven crazy by my darling daughter for the better part of the day. :) With today being the last official day of spring break, I was caught off guard at a moment of weakness, when she asked if she could come to work today.. Damn that American Idol.

So I have endured countless, "Mom Im hungry"'s, and "Mom Im bored"'s SO I thought I would entertain her and in turn entertain you good people concurrently.

Here is what we have been doing... Eating.. Looking at her myspace... and googling "Funniest Animal Pictures"
Here are a couple of the funnier ones we found....

This one actually made Jontae laugh so hard she blew water out of her nose....

We hope you all enjoyed Spring Break 2009..

Happy Spring All...

There are so many things going on lately..

My sisters birthday! Whoo Hoo that was a crazy night! We went to Harvey's Comedy Club, downtown. The comedian was so hillarious that Robin & I both had stomach aches afterwrads. Robin had a great party, if I do say so myself.

SO for a while now, my dad and I have been throwing around the idea of hosting a family reunion this summer. We were concerned that not everyone would be on board. SO we decided to have a family meeting last weekend to discuss it, and get some feedback on our ideas. Surprisingly, we have received tons of support. And it looks as though most everyone is with very excited about the idea. With that said, here is then plan.:
So we will leave Oregon on August 15th, we plan on making a few stops on the way (Vegas, and the Grand Canyon), and hopefully arrive in Eagletown on the 18th
Or 19th. I thought it best to schedule the reunion on the 21st – the 23rd. On the weekend, so fewer people have to take off work.
We thought it be nice to have our family reunion at Beaver’s Bend, as not to inconvenience anyone. Seeing family is great, but hosting 20 or so distant family members is another story entirely.
Not only is the Beaver’s Bend area beautiful and close, we will have lots of things available to do. Mike and I plan on bringing the jet skis. I have a few phone calls in to area cabins. And just keeping my fingers crossed I can find something equipt for us all.
Lyndon made me promise to have a pie eating contest at our family reunion. I have no idea why, be he totally associates the two together J LOL (that’s my boy: FOOD= FUN ) I told him he didn’t stand a chance next to the “bigger” Choctaws in our family. But he insists on trying. J Some other ideas I thought would be fun were, a turkey shoot (Not real turkeys though- Paper targets- We are Oregon, granola eating liberals), a “signature dish” lunch (Whatever dish you are “known for” you bring to share for lunch- We may end up with 15 macaroni salads, but it should be interesting nonetheless LOL), and a photo swap. (The idea is, you bring embarrassing or fun pictures of the family members to display.)

Our motto for this reunion is going to be:

The Tonihka Legacy

Honor~ Integrity~ Pride

2009

Because things may change us; but we start and end as family.

Anyway, at the risk of spotlighting my obsessive compulsive disorder, I have written a TENATIVE schedule of events. It cracks me up. Because Im sure that the family members who dont know me as well as some other seriously think Im a freak. Writing everything down, Schedules down to the minute..

Its one of the hazzards of having five children who take soccer, baseball, softball, drama & cheer all at the same time. :D

Oh, another thing we are having T-shirts made as to commemorate the event. Along with a family photo of all of us wearing them, at the close of the reunion.

We are having fundraisers throughout the summer to pay for everything. The kids’ hands will probably still be pruned when we arrive, from all the car washes, but we will make it happen. J

Then we are going to head out on August 24th to come home. It should be tons of fun, and a nice boost of family solidarity. Seventeen days in a vehicle with your immediate family…….Wahoo.. sounds like family solidarity to me!
